The discussion regarding quarks (monoquarks, diquarks, and triquarks) compromising the nucleus. There is another Theory that is in existence which isn’t referred to that summarizes this idea and is fairly unchallenged. It’s called the Quantum Chromo Dynamics Theory (QCD) and was developed by Murray Gell-Mann. It has proven to be an accurate predictor of new subatomic particles. It defines a Hadron as 3 quark particles and a Meson as 2 quark particles.
