Note: color scheme done for asthetics. Red monoquark and blue/green diquark happened to look better than green monoquark and red/blue diquark, or blue monoquark and red/green diquark. All 3 forms should be equally likely. Relative size of each not entirely certain, several possible size relations used here, from monoquark with 48% the diameter of the diquark, to 100%. Current theory suggests 90% is most likely. These were developed with 2 different sets of software. Those with a black background are older software than those with white background (which are done with google sketchups). The few oldest images (where the spheres are translucent) are marked as oldest. Best fit has least surface combined with low dipole. Worst fit is a single line of spheres. Many awful solutions included - particularly sheets one*m*n. These aren't ever best for A>3.
